An incredibly tense 53 minute purging of emotive soundscapes, piano rumbles and jangles, multi-directional noisy whooshes and flickerings to lose and confuse yourself within. Made using several synths and organs, piano, guitar, bass, theremin, field recordings, homemade noise box and other electronics.

existent/nonexistent is a sound artist/experimental musician and audio engineer based out of Canada. Sound collage, sound painting, sound art, drone, musique concrete, experimental, ambient, minimalism, surrealism, Dada, noise, noise rock, unexplainable.

This album was created while convalescing after someone attempted to kill me, hence the title of the album ‘Friendly Attempt Murder’.

It was recorded and created at Abattoir Studios using Presonus Studio 1 and a variety of sound sources including: EMS Synthi, Buchla synthesizer, Mini Moog, Prophet 5, Modular Moog, Yamaha CS-80, OB-X, Hammond B-3, Farfisa, Reaktor, Kontakt, Decent Sampler, piano, found sounds, field recordings, contact microphones, homemade noise box, electronics, Zoom H4N, prepared guitar, electric bass and theremin.

This was my introduction to The Owl. Wow! Brilliant without being forced. The production is flawless. That separation that really makes it come alive. Transporting the listener to these unrelenting environments. I can feel the desolation. Each track stands alone, yet the continuity weaves it together making the parts a whole piece.
