Mondo Podre (Spain)

From Galicia with members of other extreme metal acts like Akóuphenom, Infrahumano or La Hija del Carroñero.

We’d describe our music as riffpacked grindcore influenced by the early works of Wormrot, Pig Destroyer and Discordance Axis mixed with death metal influence and the occasional hardcore touch here and there, with and older approach regarding the album recording and production. Modern riffs, raw sound. We released our first LP, Necronomía de Subexistencia, this year in CD and Vinyl.

The lyrics are written mostly in Galician or Spanish and deal with politics, personal experiences, idiotic people, capitalism and sometimes sci-fi literature and inside jokes. The submitted track, Circo Geriátrico (“geriatric circus”), is about the old farts in the metal scene that got themselves into right wing conspiracy cults during the COVID pandemic.
