CrAwe (England)

Dark Ambient / Doom / Drone project formed by Ad in Norwich in the UK. The project revolves around using oddly tuned guitar and bass often bowed, as a primarily sound source and sometimes supplemented with percussion, voice, synth and field recordings, all of which are then heavily processed through effects and rack units and looped using looper pedals to make a meditative sound track to the end of the world and the environmental collapse of the planet.....

The song ‘WolvesWillActlLikeWolves ‘was recorded in my home studio/practice space; TheSonicFoundry, in March 2022, on a dull grey UK day.

The track is made up of programmed drum samples alongside layers bowed electric guitar and bass being sent via my main pedal board chain and looper pedals into to a number of different guitar and bass amps simultaneously with mic’s located in different locations on them, this when combined with the Di signals sent through some further archaic rack processing produced the resulting soundscape.

The track will feature later in the year on a new forthcoming CrAwE LP, that is loosely based around the theme of the development of Lethal Autonomous Weapons (LAW’s) and the negative impact this is having on the planet.
