about

This idea came about when I made an EP from 3 game loading noises (River Rescue, Jet Set Willy, Superbowl), you can hear it here: theowl.bandcamp.com/album/zx-spectrum-game-loading-noises-remixed-by-the-owl

I thought it would be interesting to see what results other people could come up with. I focused mostly on a dark ambient / noise journey, but any style is welcome.

I've laid this out a bit like an album as well, just in case there are some people that find this who just simply like listening to the Spectrum 48k loading sounds! I ripped them from very old tapes, but I think it adds something to the sound generally.

This comp will be ongoing, just as people send me things.
