ON011 is an hour long album of contemplative, meditative and rhythmically driven ambient sounds and melodic influences that come in from many parts ot the world, with an atmosphere that harks back to some of the classic 90s ambient electronics.

Christopher Alvarado is a multi-instrumentalist from Salt Lake City, America, who has been playing and performing ambient, experimental and sound manipulation in various guises since the mid 1980s.

"Dark grooves are always to be expected when you ride with Christopher Alvarado, and his latest release, “A Whispered Sanctuary,” certainly delivers. Across its hour-plus length, shadow-draped ambient textures meld hypnotically with beats that run from primal-ritual cadences to slick chillout swing.

When he lets the beats fall away, Alvarado further entices listeners with slow-breathing drifts built at the grey space edges of dark ambient, shifting landscapes that appeal to the dimly candle-lit recesses of our minds.
